The NFL is taking a look at its roster heading into the upcoming Super Bowl, and one of the players that is on the radar is a defensive end that is very well known around the league.
Former Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett is being considered for the team’s starting lineup after he played in all 16 games last year.
Bennett is currently recovering from a torn ACL suffered in the NFC Championship Game and is expected to be ready for the start of training camp in September.
According to a report by Sports Illustrated, Bennett will be playing in the Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks.
The Seahawks have been active in the offseason, and they have signed defensive tackle Michael Bennett to a contract extension.
Bennett will make his debut on the field in the regular season finale.
A former Seahawks’ defensive end, Bennett has made over 100 tackles, 3 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and has 10 interceptions in the last two seasons.
In the 2017 season, Bennett started all 16 regular season games for Seattle and was named an honorable mention All-Pro for the second time in his career.
